THE CAPTAIN:

Originally from Cuba, Saidel passion began in the fishing village where he was born and raised.  From early in his career, he has faced the toughest tests the sea can provide. Captain Guzman’s courage, dexterity, and experience earned him the role of head of the SpySea crew. He brings almost 20 years of seaworthy experience most recently captaining Sunseeker 68, Fairline 78 and is currently licensed for maritime operations of vessels of up to 200 Gross Tons (SpySea is 60 GT).

 

In addition to the Florida waters, Captain Saidel has deep experience sailing around the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Panama.

 

Beyond his passion for the sea, Captain Saidel is a family man who loves cooking in his spare time (so long as his daughter allows!).

THE CHEF:

Chef Viktor attended DGF pastry school in Kyiv, Ukraine at age 15 where he studied with internationally renowned master chefs. On the strength of his performance, he matriculated to the top culinary academy in the world, Le Cordon Bleu, Paris where he completed a three-year immersive program and interned at some of the finest restaurants in France.

 

A two-time Florida state bodybuilding champion, Chef Viktor’s passion for cooking is matched only by his love of sports.  He understands the importance of a truly delicious, well-rounded, organic meal incorporating the techniques he honed in France. 

 

With his background, Viktor looks forward to sharing his experience and passion with the guests of SpySea.

THE STEW:

In the mood for nachos topped with beluga caviar? Need another round of mojitos? Hailing from St. Peterburg, Russia, Galina  is onboard to ensure everything is just perfect.  Galina has stewarded on vessels chartered from the Swiss lakes to the Mediterranean to the Long Island Sound with voyages across the Pacific and Atlantic interspersed. She holds degrees in Hotel, Restaurant & Catering Management and Fashion & Business.  A stickler for detail with a can do attitude, Galina is the perfect person to grant your wishes. From decorations for a themed party to specialty cocktails, Galina will be there to provide you with the luxury experience that embodies the SpySea.

 

Galina is fluent in English and Russian.  She is conversational in Turkish and French.
